Solar Thermal

CleanSight staff have been pioneers in the development of solar thermal projects in Australia, with key roles in the development of the Federal Government's $1.2bn Solar Flagship Program for the Solar Dawn consortium, with specific activities including:

• Market assessment
• Site feasibility assessment and land security
• Bid preparation for the grant
• Solar resource monitoring management
• Solar resource prediction and uncertainty assessment
• Grid connection management
• Financial assessments.

The Solar Dawn project is sponsored by AREVA Solar and Wind Prospect CWP and uses AREVA's Compact Linear Fresnel Technology.  The generation capacity will be 250MW and the site location is next to the Kogan Creek Power Station near Chinchilla in Queensland.
